David Orfao, Managing Director

Prior to co-founding General Catalyst, David held the positions of President, CEO or Senior VP of Sales, Operations or Marketing for four publicly held companies. Most recently, David led Allaire Corporation from 1997 to 2000 as President, CEO and Board Member. During his tenure, Allaire grew from a venture-backed start up to an $119M public corporation trading on the NASDAQ. The company pioneered the Internet Application Server market with industry leading products such as ColdFusion and JRun. In January of 2001, Allaire merged with Macromedia Corporation.
Prior to his CEO role at Allaire, David held the positions of Senior VP of Sales Operations and Marketing at Frame Technology Corporation, Claris Corporation, and SQA Corporation. Frame Technology and SQA Corporation were venture-backed corporations that successfully completed Initial Public Offerings on the NASDAQ.
Throughout his career, David has been an angel investor, advisor, and board member to several companies, including Marketsoft Corporation, Voxeo Corporation, and Firespout Corporation. He earned a B.A. in Business and Accounting from Norwich University of Vermont.
Avi Zeevi, General Partner, Co-Founder

Avi Zeevi is a veteran software executive in Israel, having led various software companies over the past 25 years. From 1984 to 1994, Avi served as CEO and President of MINT Technologies, a provider of intelligent application integration solutions for financial institutions. From 1994 to 1999, Avi was the CFO of Oshap. Avi also served as an active director of Tecnomatix, MINT and Decalog. Avi successfully helped build MINT and Decalog into successful global companies actively contributing to their market penetration, management team build up and the establishment of strategic partnerships. Avi played a key role in the sale of Oshap to SunGard. Avi served as a director at Tecnomatix until it was sold to UGS in 2005.
Avi is Chairman of Actimize and serves on the Board of Directors of Impress Software Solutions, OpTier, Octavian and Business Events.
Avi is a member of the Executive Committee of the Israel Venture Association. Avi is also an active board member of TZEVA, an educational non-profit organization, which operates enrichment centers for underprivileged children. During the past few years, Tzeva has emerged as an important community service activity amongst leading Israeli VC firms.
Ted Mocarski, Managing Director

Ted brings 17 years of investment and legal experience to Key Venture Partners with a focus on communications, data services and information technology businesses. Ted currently serves as a board member of airwide solutions, Impress Software, Kasenna, OpSource, and XyEnterprise.
Ted joined the firm in 2003. Previously, Ted was a Managing Director at Nautic Partners and Fleet Equity Partners, where he was responsible for leading the funds' investment efforts in the communications and IT industries. Ted was the lead or an early investor in a number of companies, which generated significant returns for its investors, including Exodus Communications, Dobson Communications, FairPoint Communications, and Verio. Prior to this, Ted was an attorney with Edwards & Angell, where he represented several venture capital and private equity firms.

Ed Braginsky, General Partner

Edward Braginsky joined TVM Capital in 2005 as a General Partner in the firm’s Boston office, where he focuses on business software and services investments. Ed is an experienced technology executive with a track record in building transatlantic software companies, with more than 20 years of technical and operational experience. Prior to joining TVM Capital, he consulted to several prominent venture capital firms and enterprise software startups in the Boston area, including Systinet (acquired by Mercury), IMLogic (acquired by Symantec), Radianz (acquired by BT), and Authentica (acquired by EMC).
Before joining the venture industry, Ed was a member of the founding executive team of BEA Systems where he held several leadership positions including Chief Technology Officer and a Vice President, Corporate Business Development. While at BEA, Ed played a key role in orchestrating numerous acquisitions and led BEA’s investments in several successful software startups, including PentaSafe (acquired by NetIQ), YOUcentric (acquired by J.D. Edwards), TimesTen (acquired by Oracle), Wily (acquired by CA), and System Access (listed on SGX SESDAQ).
Prior to BEA, Ed held operating positions at Fidelity Investments, DLJ Securities, Digital Equipment Corporation and MIT. Ed holds a BS and MS in Computer Science from Boston University.
