Hannover, 17th September 2008: trinovis GmbH (hereafter referred to as: trinovis), located in Hannover, is pleased to announce that it has acquired the copyrights of all the software developed, licensed and maintained by Impress Software, the employees of Impress Software and various other assets necessary for ongoing product development and support of it's leading SAP integration solutions.
Impress Software GmbH was originally founded in Germany in 1996 and ever since then the majority of its software development and customer support has been carried out from its offices in Hannover, Germany and with close links to SAP. Trinovis concluded it's agreement to take over the software and assets of Impress Software GmbH on 1st September. On 16th September trinovis signed a partner agreement with Project Management Associates LLC (hereafter referred to as: PMA) to ensure ongoing availability of consulting services and customer support for the Impress customer base in the USA. PMA was founded in May 2008 by Mr. Lou Pereira, the former Vice President of Services of Impress Software USA. The PMA team comprises the majority of former Impress US Services team members who were keen to continue their support relationships with Impress customers. With this acquisition and partner agreement, trinovis provides continuity of support to the Impress high profile global customer base. Furthermore, trinovis plans to continue the development of the Impress technology and Impress related consulting - with the same quality and the same competence as Impress customers have been used to for a number of years.
Explained Mr Marc Elmhorst, CEO of trinovis, "We are delighted to have been successful in securing the software, assets and employees of Impress Software. We were particularly attracted by the Impress global high-profile customer base, the highly professional Impress services and support team, and being able to continue the support and provision of world-class software solutions to these and additional future customers. The existing customer base and support agreements provide a secure future for the business". He continued, "We also see opportunities for synergies and cross-fertilisation between the Impress business and our existing trinovis business, which goes back to the Impress integration platform. We are excited about moving trinovis to the next level and to a fruitful relationship with all existing and new customers of the Impress for EPM and Impress for GIS products. We will also be looking to further the Impress ongoing relationships with key alliance partners."
About trinovis :
Mr Marc Elmhorst, a founder of Impress Software in 1996, founded trinovis in 2001 as the Managing Director and main partner. At that time trinovis specialized around process consulting in the health care sector, focussing on supporting financial control, as well as supporting and optimizing procurement processes with portals (e-Commerce), on the one hand through consulting with a deep know-how of the line of business, on the other hand by using the latest technologies in these areas. At that time the technology of all the well-known portals in the health care sector (e.g. Pharma Mall, GHX, Medical Columbus) was based on the integration platform of Impress Software. Today trinovis has begun an expansion process, driven by "organic growth".. So organizations can get up and running quickly without the downstream headaches typically associated with custom integration projects.
